Dr. Medha Atre is leader for the Semantic Integration research program in SIRIUS and Senior Researcher at the University of Oxford. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor in the Deptartment of Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Her area of research is data management and various aspects of it such as storage, query optimization, data representation methods. During her PhD and later she single-handedly developed a system called BitMat for RDF graph processing, and in the process also extended some of the theoretical properties of SPARQL pattern query processing.
