SINTEF
SINTEF is one of Europe’s largest independent research organisations. It is a broad, multidisciplinary research organisation with international top-level expertise in the fields of technology, the natural sciences, medicine and the social sciences. It conducts contract R&D as a partner for the private and public sectors, and is one of the largest contract research institutions in Europe.
SINTEF Digital conducts research and innovation in digital technologies and technology-oriented social sciences. Its multi-disciplinary knowledge base is used across all industries and helps customers exploit and meet the opportunities created by digitalization and digital transformation. SINTEF is formally partner in SIRIUS through SINTEF Digital, although our projects support and invite innovation across SINTEF’s units.
SINTEF’s partnership in SIRIUS builds upon an existing framework of collaboration, where researchers at the University of Oslo and NTNU collaborate in teaching and research with SINTEF employees. SINTEF complements our research and innovation profile by bringing resources that can lift our research results into innovative systems and products.
The University of Oslo and SINTEF work together in European research initiatives, such as the BDVA and SPIRE. SINTEF’s partnership in SIRIUS formalizes this collaboration.
